Wee Woollies and Aunt Leah's Place - helping young moms keep their babies

When Aunt Leah's Place asked us if we would be interested in a co-brand project with them we were more than happy to work together. Aunt Leah's is a Vancouver non profit helping kids in foster care and teen moms achieve a better future for over 25 years now. Their programs and fundraising efforts help prevent children in foster care from becoming homeless, and mothers in need from losing custody of their children. To support these young adults on their journey to self-sufficiency they provide supported housing, job training and coaching on essential life skills. You can learn more about Aunt Leah's Place from their website and find out where to purchase a specially branded Wee Woollies Merino Sleep Sack, Sleeper or Beanie, and other ways you can help support their life changing programs.

Wee Woollies in Westcoast Families Baby Guide

Right from the beginning we've been very grateful for the support from our "westcoast" fans. Being Canadian made is a key part of who we are, not only for supporting the local economy, but for knowing the conditions in which the wonderful people who make our garments work, right here at home. They're happy and so are we! So we were super happy to be asked to join super cool Canadian made brands like Electrik Kidz and Minimoc in this year's Westcoast Families Babyguide "Homegrown Fashion" segment.

Our Best Collection Yet!

It's been a busy year and we're so excited to finally introduce this new collection. We've included more colours, more sizes and a brand new Infant Pant to our list of top-selling merino apparel. How did we do it?! We often ask ourselves the same thing. We are a very small team at Wee Woollies - at first it was just me, but as we've grown, my husband has come along for the ride while our two young girls have willingly tested every sample and posed for photo shoots in their Wee Woollies, right from the very beginning. We are involved in every stage of production from spending countless hours poring over colour palettes to meeting with our manufacturer and suppliers, and of course, packing orders! And as photographers in our past lives (that's how we met!), we love how that has become a big part of the creative process in promoting the brand and sharing Wee Woollies with the world! As we continue to grow, we are excited to have more people join our team. We truly appreciate the love and support, and hope the little people in your lives enjoy this collection as much as ours do... whatever they're up to, wherever they are.

Thank you!

Cindy, Filip, Farren and Izzy

Wee Woollies and Tales of a Mountain Mama

We love working with Amelia, mommy blogger and advocate for living an active outdoor family life. Getting kids outside is a huge mission of ours, after all that's a big reason we do what we do! We make practical and versatile merino kids clothing so no matter what they're up to, wherever they are, kids feel good doing it. Amelia is always on the lookout for clothing and gear that makes being outside for her growing family fun and easy. She shares her thoughts on why they love merino all year-round... "I think one of the hardest things about having a baby now in the mix of our family adventures is relearning how to keep her comfortable and the right temperature... In an effort of keeping Baby comfortable all summer, we often turn to merino wool". Read more from Tales of a Mountain Mama!
